Ministries

At St. Ambrose Episcopal Church, our ministries are the heartbeat of our community, reflecting our commitment to living out our faith through service, fellowship, and spiritual growth. Each ministry is an expression of our dedication to following Christ’s example, offering opportunities for everyone to get involved and make a difference in the lives of others.

Thrift Ministry

Each week we offer up to God in worship those whom have asked for our prayers. Each member of the parish is invited and encouraged to pray daily for these persons as we live in fellowship and communion with one another.

Every Thursday our parish assists Deacon Andy in this outreach ministry by collecting fresh and packaged food items to help feed elderly, widowed, and less fortunate community members.

Our Thrift Ministry at St. Ambrose Episcopal Church is more than just a store—it’s a vital part of our mission to support the Fort Lauderdale community. We resell gently used and donated items at affordable prices.

Lay Weeders

Several members of the parish meet weekly (usually on Saturdays) to keep the our parish grounds looking "spotless", "immaculate", "user friendly". Come experience this contemplative  way of praying & working, improving your spiritual life.

EVs (Eucharistic Ministers)

Several members of the Church visit the sick and shut-ins at their homes or in the hospital to provide them Holy Communion and spiritual comfort during their illness.

"St. Ambrose is small and mighty in what they do everyday for this neighborhood and community. I am so honored to be able to help them carry out their mission to help those in need, while offering a safe and inclusive place of worship."
